Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 3

Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 3 (MEIF3) was launched following the success of MEIF and MEIF2, to take advantage of the growing number of infrastructure investment opportunities within the expanding European Union. MEIF3 had its final close in March 2010 with total investor commitments of €1.2 billion. Like its successful predecessor funds, MEIF3 invests in businesses which:

  • provide an essential service to the community
  • have a strong competitive position
  • generate stable cashflows over the long term.

Investments made by MEIF3 to date include:

  • Brussels Airport

    The principal airport in Belgium

  • Copenhagen Airports

    The largest airport in the Nordic region

  • České Radiokomunikace

    Owner and operator of broadcast and telecommunication tower infrastructure in the Czech Republic

  • Thyssengas

    Owner and operator of a gas transmission network in Germany, consisting of over 4000km of pipeline
