Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4

Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4 (MEIF4) was launched following the successful investment of its predecessor funds, MEIF1, MEIF2 and MEIF3 and to capitalise on a strong pipeline of opportunities in the European infrastructure market. MEIF4 had its final close in April 2013 with total commitments of €2.7 billion, ahead of its €1.5 to €2 billion target. MEIF4 is targeting core infrastructure investments that offer some or all of the following characteristics:

  • Essential services to the community
  • Strategic competitive advantage
  • Inflation link
  • Sustainable and predictable cashflows over the long-term

  • Open Grid Europe (OGE)

    Largest regulated gas transmission network operator in Germany

  • Czech Gas Networks (CGN)

    Regulated gas distribution network covering 80% of the Czech Republic

  • AGS Airports

    Operator of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports in the UK

  • Renvico

    A leader in renewable energy, covering the acquisition, development and management of wind farms in Italy and France

  • Towercom

    Provision of terrestrial and satellite television and radio broadcasting services throughout the whole territory of the Slovak Republic.

  • Viesgo

    An energy company involved in the generation, distribution and sale of power and gas with more than 650,000 customers in Spain and Portugal.

  • Hydro Dolomiti Energia

    Owns and operates 27 hydropower plants in northern Italy.

  • Energie Steiermark

    Fourth largest integrated energy utility in Austria, serving the Styria area with electricity, gas and heat.

  • Società Gasdotti Italia S.p.A. ("SGI")

    An independent transport system operator in the gas sector in Italy.
